CaRR is not a Credit Reference Bureau and does not provide credit reports. CaRR holds vehicle-rental conduct reported by rental businesses: rentals, returns, damage, amounts owed to a rental company. We never touch bank, loan or credit data, and we never judge anyone's creditworthiness.
A rental, end to end

Every step in one place

From the booking landing in your inbox to the receipt the client walks away with. Nothing kept in a notebook, nothing retyped into a spreadsheet.

Step one

The booking comes to you

Your vehicles are listed on carrcheck.com with your photos and your rates — one rate around town, another for out-of-town trips. A renter picks dates, says where they are driving, and the request lands in your workspace. You accept or decline.

Step two

You check who you are dealing with

Before the keys move, run a CaRR check on their NRC, passport, licence or phone. You see their rental conduct across every business on the network — completed hires, late returns, damage, money owed — with the reasons behind the score.

Step three

Hand over, and bring it back

Check-out records fuel, mileage and photos of every panel. Check-in does the same and puts the two side by side, so damage and fuel differences are obvious and chargeable — with the evidence attached, not argued from memory.

Step four

Get paid, and know where you stand

Invoices and receipts print on your own letterhead, which you arrange yourself. Payments, deposits and refunds post to your cash and bank accounts, expenses are recorded against the vehicle, and the profit and loss adds up without a spreadsheet.

Manage the rental, and the risk behind it

Everything a rental desk does day to day, on top of a client record that follows real rental behaviour.

Run the rentals

Your fleet, your desk, your paperwork
  • Fleet with photos — Vehicles with registration, rates, mileage, status and a photo of each car.
  • Bookings and the front desk — Reserve, hand over and take back vehicles from one screen with today's pick-ups and returns.
  • Check-in and check-out — Mileage, fuel, condition and photos at hand-over and return. Late returns are detected automatically.
  • Clients with documents — Client photo, NRC or passport and driving licence image, with verification status.
  • Invoices and receipts — Your logo, address and colours. Receipts issue automatically from payments and deposits, and print or save as PDF.
  • Team and permissions — Owner, manager, agent, finance and viewer roles, with an audit trail of who did what.

Know the client

A shared record, built on evidence
  • Client reports — Report late returns, damage, unpaid balances, a vehicle not returned, or a forged licence — with evidence attached.
  • Report non-clients too — Someone who never signed a contract, like a walk-in with a forged document, can be reported by their NRC, passport or licence.
  • Search the network — Other members find the report by the client's document number. Names stay hidden until a consented check.
  • Corroboration — A member who had the same experience adds their account to the report, which strengthens it.
  • Explainable score — A 0–100 rental-risk score with every reason listed, and a timeline of what changed it and when.
  • Dispute rights — Clients view their own record and dispute anything wrong. Disputed records are excluded from scoring until decided.
How reporting works

From one bad rental to a warning others can act on

Four steps, with a check at every one. No one is blacklisted on a single company's word.

1
A business reports what happened

Facts and evidence: photos, the contract, a police report, a repair quote. Suspicions are recorded as suspicions.

2
A reviewer confirms it

Someone senior reviews the report. Serious allegations need evidence and a reviewer who did not file it.

3
Members can find it

Other businesses see it by the client's document number — masked, with no name until a consented check.

4
The client can answer

The client can view the record and dispute it. A disputed record stops counting until the dispute is decided.

What another business actually sees

Browsing the network shows conduct, not identities. To put a name to a record, a member runs a CaRR check with the client's consent — which is logged.

  • Initials and a masked document number
  • The type of report, how serious, and the month
  • How many businesses reported the same person
  • No name, no full document number, no amounts

Fair by design

Never just a number

Every score comes with the reasons behind it and a timeline showing exactly when and why it moved. Rules and thresholds are configurable and versioned, and each score records the rule set that produced it.

  • Only confirmed reports lower a score
  • Unreviewed reports are warnings, never penalties
  • Serious allegations need evidence and an independent reviewer
  • Settling what you owe improves the score

Security & privacy

Built on consent, fairness and accountability

Encrypted identifiers

NRC, passport and licence numbers are encrypted at rest and masked in the interface (e.g. ••••781).

Recorded consent

Every full check records the client's consent: purpose, version, method, time and who ran it.

Strict separation

Each business sees only its own operational data. Network data is summarised and privacy-filtered.

Tamper-evident audit trail

Every important action is written to a hash-chained audit log that can be verified independently.

Right to dispute

Clients can view what is held about them and dispute anything inaccurate, free of charge.

Hardened platform

Role-based access, CSRF and XSS protection, rate limiting, secure file handling and scoped API keys.
